About the Job

As a Data Engineer at TRACT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, design, and implementation of our insights platform. Leveraging your expertise in Data development, you will lead the technical design and implementation of scalable and reliable data pipelines and APIs. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into efficient and maintainable backend solutions, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and solutions that are shaping the future of agriculture and food sustainability.

 

About You

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent. Master's degree is a plus.

  • You have 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on developing data pipelines, APIs, and backend systems.

  • You experience with Google Cloud data pipeline services and Terraform. Experience with streaming data tools is considered a plus.

  • have a strong proficiency in Python and experience with a similar tech stack to ours: FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Airflow and BigQuery;

  • You have deep understanding of design principles and architectural patterns.

  • You’re an effective communicator and mentor, able to lead and collaborate within teams.

  • You’re familiar with agile development approaches.

  • Continuous learning and personal development are something you’re passionate about.
