About the Role
We're looking for a Business Development Representative to own top of funnel for TRACT. This role sits at the intersection of sales and marketing. You'll be responsible for executing consistent, high-quality outreach to sustainability and procurement leaders at the world's largest commodity traders, producers, and food brands, while also partnering with marketing on demand-generation campaigns.
You'll be the tip of the spear for how TRACT shows up in the market. You'll research and prioritize accounts within our ICP, craft messaging that resonates with a sophisticated and mission-driven audience, and design creative campaigns that break through to hard-to-reach buyers. If you understand the supply chain sustainability world and love the mix of disciplined prospecting and creative experimentation, this is a role where you can make a visible mark.
What you'll do
Build and maintain a consistent cadence of outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone) to generate qualified pipeline against TRACT's ICP.
Research target accounts and identify the right stakeholders and tailor messaging to their priorities.
Design and run creative outbound campaigns to engage the largest and hardest-to-reach players in the industry.
Partner closely with the sales team to hand off qualified opportunities and to feed learnings from prospect conversations back into targeting and messaging.
Collaborate with marketing and provide support on demand-generation projects such as webinars, content, EUDR-focused campaigns, and events.
Qualify prospects rigorously against ICP and meeting-based criteria, and keep clean, reliable records of your activity and pipeline in the CRM.
Stay close to what's happening in supply chain sustainability and EUDR so your outreach is timely, relevant, and credible.
What you'll bring
Entry level to 2+ years of experience as a BDR/SDR in enterprise SaaS startups
A working understanding of the supply chain/sustainability world and an interest in learning more.
Familiarity with modern sales tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, contact/data enrichment tools, Apollo, and AI tools) and an interest in using them to work smarter.
A demonstrated ability to run a disciplined outreach cadence while also thinking creatively about how to break through the noise.
Strong written communication and the judgment to tailor messaging to a technical, mission-driven, and often senior audience.
Comfort operating in a fast-moving, still-scaling environment where processes are being built as we go. You are proactive in bringing ideas and solutions.
Curiosity, resilience, and a collaborative mindset that works across both sales and marketing.
Nice to have
Prior experience as a BDR/SDR selling into food & ag, sustainability, supply chain, or compliance.
Experience supporting demand-generation or field/event marketing alongside outbound.
What We Offer
