We’re a diverse and passionate team of about 40, committed to creating a sustainable impact and technological innovation. We believe in the power of collaboration and leverage our collective expertise to tackle complex challenges and drive meaningful change. Our cultural heartbeat & business decisions are shaped by our core values: ‘Accept the challenge,’ ‘Commit to learn,’ ‘Authentic & accountable,’ ‘Make momentum,’ & ‘Simplify & ship.’ These ensure that every team member can thrive and make a difference.
About the Role
As a QA Engineer (Manual QA) at TRACT, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our insights platform is reliable, intuitive, and trusted by customers who depend on high-quality sustainability data. You will primarily focus on manual testing across web workflows, integrations, and data-driven features, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer-facing teams to validate requirements, catch issues early, and support smooth releases.
You’ll help strengthen our quality practices by building repeatable test coverage, improving test documentation, and bringing a thoughtful, user-centric testing mindset to everything we ship.
About You
You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent education.
You have at least 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong emphasis on manual testing of web applications and/or data-driven products.
You’re confident in designing test plans, test cases, and exploratory testing charters that balance coverage and speed.
You understand QA fundamentals: test design techniques, SDLC, defect lifecycle, regression strategy, and risk-based testing.
You have experience working in agile teams (Scrum/Kanban) and collaborating closely with Product and Engineering.
You can test beyond “happy paths,” with a strong instinct for edge cases, data integrity, and user experience.
You’re comfortable with API testing (e.g., using Postman/Insomnia) and validating integrations and error handling.
You write excellent bug reports with clear reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and helpful supporting evidence (logs/screenshots).
You’re an effective communicator and collaborator, able to work cross-functionally and contribute to healthy delivery practices.
Note: This is a manual-first position. Test automation experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
